Role description: Officer

You will be responsible for supervising our carpentry workshop as a creative space at the heart of our community hub – to provide marginalised people with the chance to make something that they can be proud of. You will have creativity and an adaptable approach to training and engaging people to build their self confidence and meaningful use of time.

In our workshops we are sharing a rich mixture of skills for life, employment and working together as a team. You will support our trainees in practical ways and build relationships with them within our woodwork training. You will be working with a range of people who have all been on individual journeys often marked with uncertainty and difficulty. This means establishing a personal connection will be an essential foundation to overcoming the many and various barriers they face.

And you will be part of our hub team, working together to provide holistic support, housing, training and social enterprise opportunities.
