Would you like to work within a dynamic Gold ward accredited team who put Family integrated and developmental care, and safety at the centre of all we do?

Well look no further!

We are Silver Bliss Baby Charter accredited, and fully UNICEF Baby Friendly Neonatal accredited and have a dedicated feeding advisor to support parents and staff.

Our families have access to a psychologist who is able to offer them additional support whilst they are on NICU.

We are looking for motivated staff nurses, who are enthusiastic practitioners, who can demonstrate a passion for neonates. In return you will be supported by our skilled nurses and advanced neonatal nurse practitioners, our practice education and medical teams. There is opportunity to work either full or part time. We welcome and support applications from children trained nurses, midwives and adult trained nurses with critical care experience.

We serve a birth population of 5300 deliveries a year, designated as a level 2 local neonatal unit with 21 cots, 4 intensive, 3 high dependency and 14 special care. We have an embedded Transitional Care Pathway and operate an established Outreach service. We also have close links the South West Neonatal Network. Main duties of the job

There is a fully supported orientation and induction programme, including a supernumerary period. . You will also be supported closely by our experienced clinical practice nurse educators on the South West Neonatal Foundation programme. We offer opportunities to attend national and local study days to enhance your professional development in line with NMC revalidation and to nurture any particular area of Neonatal Nursing of interest to you.

Newly qualified staff nurses will have the opportunity to participate in the Trust preceptorship programme.
