Football Development Officer (Education)

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual to support the delivery of our strategy. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the required knowledge, experience and values to lead on the planning, administration and delivery of Education across Worcestershire Football. In addition, the role will lead our wider Coach Development strategy by working with our team of tutors and developers to enhance coaching within grassroots clubs.

About Football Development Officer (Education)

PURPOSE

  • To support delivery of Worcestershire FA's Business Strategy and FA National Game initiatives
  • To implement the County strategy to support, retain and grow a network of valued coaches, volunteers and the wider football workforce
  • To organise, administer and promote a comprehensive Education offer for Worcestershire football
  • To engage with 3-star and 2-star England Football Accredited clubs to support Coach Development and the Thriving Community Club programme
  • To engage with clubs to develop internal Club Coach Leads to include training and quality assurance

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THIS ROLE

- Applicants must have a UEFA B qualification (or currently be working towards a UEFA B qualification)

- This is not a coaching role. The successful candidate will be responsible for all administration of Education courses/events/workshops for Worcestershire football, including but not limited to: Coach Education, Referee Education and wider football workforce education

You will be predominantly office-based at our headquarters in Worcester, with the requirement to meet and work with clubs, leagues, coaches, volunteers and external partners/organisations to shape your ideas to enhance the game. The role sits within our Development Team which is made up of staff with lead areas across other areas of football (including the Male Game, Female Game, Disability Game, Facilities and Partnerships and Referee Development).
