: Full time equivalent is £57,919 (London based salary) or £53,288 (non-London based salary) + excellent benefits. The salary will be dependent on the weekly working hours.

: Full time 35 hours per week or part time 28 hours per week

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) are seeking an experienced Senior Communications and Engagement Manager to hit the ground running and lead a team of content professionals in delivering our content strategy and play a pivotal role in communicating with all our audiences in support of our strategic aims.

The role

The fixed term role of Senior Communications and Engagement Manager has been created to deliver our content strategy during short-term organisational structure changes, and we therefore need someone who can hit the ground running. In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of print and online content that supports and engages our members, stakeholders and the wider public. You will lead a team of content professionals in delivering our content strategy and play a pivotal role in communicating with all our audiences in support of our strategic aims.

You’ll ensure our content offering is spot on by analysing user research, digital data and organisational priorities and translating these into products and journeys that are useful and engaging. 
 
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the RCSLT to ensure members are served the most relevant content by developing appropriate communications plans to disseminate content using a range of channels.  
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a razor-sharp focus on our members’ needs, excellent writing and editing skills, team leadership experience, and the ability to develop and oversee content production processes.

What we are looking for

You’ll bring extensive experience in strategic communications, with a proven ability to plan, deliver and advise at senior level in complex, multi-channel environments. You’ll be an accomplished editorial and digital content leader, with strong knowledge of digital best practice, emerging formats and content production processes. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of developing and delivering content and communications strategies as well as provide digital expertise. You’ll have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and hit the ground running within this role.
