Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development and Alignment
• Lead the design and implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring alignment with the UK EYFS framework and KHDA expectations for high-quality early years education.
• Work closely with the FS1 and FS2 teaching teams to develop engaging, child-centered learning experiences that support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth.
• Ensure that the curriculum promotes inclusivity, well-being, and readiness for Key Stage 1, incorporating UAE educational values.
2. Implementation and Oversight
• Collaborate with the Senior Leader for Quality Assurance of Teaching and Learning to ensure consistency and progression in EYFS teaching practices.
• Support FS1 and FS2 teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Provide guidance on inquiry-based and play-based learning strategies that enhance engagement and independent exploration.
3. Assessment and Progress Monitoring
• Ensure robust assessment practices are embedded within the EYFS curriculum, tracking children’s progress through observations, formative assessments, and developmental milestones.
• Use assessment data to inform teaching strategies and interventions, ensuring each child meets or exceeds early learning goals.
• Work with teachers to maintain high-quality learning journals and reports for parents via Toddle or other communication platforms.
4. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
• Engage in reflective practices and self-evaluation to drive continuous improvement in EYFS provision, in line with KHDA’s inspection framework.
• Conduct regular learning walks, lesson observations, and professional development sessions to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
• Provide feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and contribute to whole-school strategic planning for early years education
5. Parental and Community Engagement
• Foster a strong partnership with parents to ensure transparent communication about their child’s development and learning experiences.
• Organize parent workshops, open days, and interactive learning sessions to strengthen home-school collaboration.
• Promote Citizens School’s vision of personalized and innovative learning through community involvement and engagement initiatives..
Key Responsibilities

• Supports Learning Coordinators and early years mentors.
• Engages with parents to build a strong early years learning community.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar or larger organization.
• Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, and early years teaching methodologies.
