Qualifications and Experience

•  Experience of supervising/working with groups of young children
•  To have a First Aid Certificate or be willing to gain one

•  Ability to support and develop a child’s social interactions
•  A strong commitment to supporting positive behaviour through being empathetic, positive and

firm but fair.

•  Ability to nurture and support the growth of strong self-esteem in children.
•  Awareness of health and safety issues as they relate to the care of young children
•  Excellent communication skills and respect for colleagues, children and parents
•  A self-motivated individual, who wishes to be a committed team member in a successful

school

•  Flexibility, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour
