We are looking for a Cell Therapy Scientist to join our Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre (ANCTC) team.
Title: Cell Therapy Scientist
S alary: £30,040 per annum increasing to £32,314 after completing probation period
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: On site ANCTC, Clifton Campus, Nottingham Trent University
This position forms part of a dedicated scientific team responsible for cell processing and cryopreservation as part of our aim to provide provision of high quality clinical cellular products.
The role sits within ANCTC, which is part of the larger Operations and Patient Services team and provides materials for transplant as well as for research and development and clinical trials. Key skills include:
- Working in a contamination controlled setting with knowledge of aseptic technique being essential to this role
- Experience with the use of flow cytometry to immunophenotype a range of leukocyte subsets is desirable
- Cell processing and cryopreservation using vapor phase nitrogen experience is beneficial
- Experience of handling routine and specialised laboratory equipment and the importance of following standard operating procedures as trained
- Awareness/experience of quality systems
- Familiar with working under accreditation/regulation
