🛠️ What the Role InvolvesAs a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role in the home. You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
- Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
- Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
- Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding
Sapphire House is a residential 1 bed bungalow in Worksop, located near the A57. The home provides emergency placements and operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and can think on their feet.
As part of our committed staff team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people aged 5–18. Our approach is trauma-informed, and we focus on creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can grow, heal, and reach their full potential.
Our young people enjoy:

- 🐴 Horse riding and spending time with animals
- 🛍️ Exploring fashion, shopping trips, and social media fun

- A strong, compassionate personality and leadership qualities
- Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting
- A QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
- A desire to grow—opportunities to complete a fully funded Level 5 qualification available
- 3 weeks of paid induction training
- Funded Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
- Structured career progression into management roles
- £1,400 annual attendance bonus + sleep-in payments (£44.56 per shift)
- 28 days annual leave (increasing with service)
