At Hayward Adventure Playground, we’re looking for a Playground Manager who can lead with heart, champion inclusive play, and create unforgettable experiences for children and young people aged 6–25, including those with disabilities.

As Playground Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our community. You’ll inspire a passionate team, oversee daily operations, and design play experiences that spark joy, creativity, and confidence.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated team to deliver safe, inclusive, and fun play sessions

• Be the safeguarding champion, ensuring every child is safe, heard, and valued

• Oversee site safety, maintenance, and facilities

• Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning

• Develop accessible, engaging play programs that excite children and young people

• Build strong relationships with families, local groups, and community partners

• Experienced leader (2+ years) in playwork, childcare, or youth services

• Level 3 qualification in Playwork, Childcare, Youth Work, or a related area

• Passionate about inclusion, diversity, and creating welcoming spaces for all children

• Confident in safeguarding practices, ideally as a DSL

• Organised, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple priorities

• Excellent communicator who builds trust and inspires colleagues, families, and partners
