We are looking for an exceptional leader to join us as our new Head of Talent and Learning, driving forward our global strategy for talent, learning, engagement and organisational development. This is a unique opportunity to shape how World Animal Protection grows and nurtures its people across the world, ensuring that our approach reflects the diversity, lived experience and expertise that truly represents the global communities we serve.
In this senior leadership role, you will have the chance to transform the way we develop talent and strengthen leadership capability, embedding a culture of learning, growth and inclusion at every level of the organisation. You will be central to ensuring our people strategies are informed by lived experience from Global South contexts, helping us to become a more globally representative and inclusive organisation.
Working as part of the People Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders and colleagues across our international offices to design and deliver forward-thinking initiatives that attract and retain outstanding talent. You will play a vital role in creating innovative learning opportunities, supporting leaders to thrive, and building an engaged and high-performing global workforce.
This role is more than a leadership position, it is a chance to make a lasting impact on how our organisation grows, learns and evolves. By championing inclusion, harnessing diverse perspectives and shaping a people strategy that reflects the richness of our global movement, you will directly contribute to creating a better world for animals and for people.
Who are we?
World Animal Protection is the global voice for animal welfare, with more than 70 years’ experience campaigning for a world where animals live free from cruelty and suffering.
We have offices in 14 countries and work across 47 countries. We collaborate with local communities, the private sector, civil society and governments to change animals’ lives for the better.
Our goal is to change the way the world works to end animal cruelty and suffering for both wild and farmed animals. Through our global food system strategy, we will end factory farming and create a humane and sustainable food system, that puts animals first. By transforming the broken systems that fuel exploitation and commodification, we will give wild animals the right to a wildlife. Our work to protect animals will play a vital role in solving the climate emergency, the public health crisis, and the devastation of natural habitats.
To achieve our aim of making World Animal Protection a Diverse and Inclusive employer, we particularly welcome applications from individuals of traditionally under-represented communities and backgrounds.
At World Animal Protection we recruit with our values & behaviours in mind. Please bear this in mind through your application journey. These are:
