Role Summary
Improving Lives Plymouth and Citizen’s Advice Plymouth work in partnership in a joint contract commissioned by Plymouth City Council to provide information and advice services across Plymouth, known as Advice Plymouth. The service provides telephone and face to face support. You will support clients of Advice Plymouth by advising on a variety of matters including welfare benefit and other cost of living queries within our drop-in service at Ernest English House.
Main Tasks
- Meet with client face to face to support with enquiries around variety of issues.
- Work closely with the drop in coordinator to support with client issues, obtaining next steps to be able to work with a client to support them to navigate the outcomes available.
- Work on Charity log to complete clear and concise notes.
- Report any concerns to the drop in coordinator.
- Support with other general administration tasks, such as outgoing calls, photocopying, updating client records as directed by line management.

- Ability to work in stressful and sometimes conflicting situations – a staff member is available for direct support

DBS Check Required, ILP will cover the cost of the DBS check
