FareShare North East is looking to recruit a Development Manager, a new role within a team working to sustain our work and further develop our reach and support. This is a crucial role that will explore new business opportunities as well as relationships with trusts, foundations, corporate donors and individuals interested in supporting our work. The postholder will play an integral part in the development and future sustainability of an organisation working to redistribute surplus food out to thousands of individuals and families who are facing economic hardship.
We are looking for someone who can help us to embed a development culture across our organisation as we look to grow our offer, effectively demonstrate our impact and in doing so, set out proposals that will attract new income sources. The postholder will connect with others in the team, such as the Partnerships Manager the Communications and Events Officer, and the broader Senior Leadership Team, supporting their work. Duties include working with the Director of Development on strategy and in identifying funding opportunities with trusts and foundations, researching and writing funding proposals, relationship building with funding officers and grant givers, supporting corporate partnerships, networking and attending appropriate events as well as playing an active role across various parts of the organisation.
