Accounts Officer

This role will focus on providing general accounts
management support and bookkeeping to facilitate the efficient running of the
financial operations of the church.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:

Ensure the proper recording and processing of all church financial activities, including incomes, expenditures and other financial transactions.
Prepare financial statements as and when required for the proper and efficient planning and management of church finances.
Manage the Gift Aid database of the parish.
Undertake budgeting, budgetary control and reporting, and year-end financial procedures.
Overseeing the church accounts unit and working with other officials to ensure the financial records and regulatory compliance duties are fulfilled as and when due.
Engage in fund raising activities for the church.
Work in liaison with the church accountant.
Undertake general admin support duties and contribute to the general everyday operations of the church.
Such other duties as may be assigned by both the Senior Pastor and the Parish Pastor to whom the assistant is accountable.

Minimum of HND/BSc in accounting, economics, finance and other relevant fields. Professional accounting certifications like AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, combined with specific knowledge of charity accounting and financial management would be an advantage.

Salary

£21,000 pa (pro-rata)

£13,140 pa, £1,095 monthly for 3 days a week
