Age Connects Cardiff & the Vale is an independent registered charity and a company limited by guarantee whose vision is to create a society where older people are respected and enabled to meet their aspirations. We are committed to tackling loneliness, isolation and poverty within the communities of Cardiff and the Vale.
The Role
We are looking for additional Trustees with a variety of skills, knowledge and experience to help guide and implement our new direction to become self-sufficient and sustainable for years to come.
We are particularly keen to engage a Trustee with the following skills:-
• Experience with accounts and demonstrated commercial awareness and knowledge.
• Competent use of IT skills.
• Marketing experience.
• Experience and knowledge in leading and developing people/HR
• Proven ability to communicate and explain financial information to members of the Board and other stakeholders.
• Analytical and evaluation skills.
• Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship and charitable organisations.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
Previous trustee experience preferred but applicants with the drive, commitment and genuine desire to support the older members of our community is essential.
