We are looking for a current QMUL student to take on the brand new role as the Students’ Union Chair.
In this role, you’ll be chairing two of our most important democratic meetings – the All Student Meetings and the Student Representative Committee. The All Student Meetings are large meetings where all students can submit ideas, take part in debates and vote. The Student Representative Committee is a monthly meeting for our 16 full-time and part-time student representatives. The role is an exciting opportunity to help us build an authentic student voice and improve engagement with our democratic meetings.
Please read through the job description carefully to ensure you meet the requirements and are available on the meeting dates listed in the job description before applying. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
To apply please complete the MS application form before the deadline of Thursday 30 October 2025 at 12pm (midday). Candidates shortlisted for interviews will be notified on Monday 3 November. Interviews will take place on Friday 7 November or Monday 10 November, and the successful candidate is expected to start the role immediately (training is expected to be Thursday 13 November or Friday 14 November depending on the schedule of the successful candidate).
If you have any questions about the role, please contact Brad Coales, Secretary and Governance Officer, on b.coales@qmul.ac.uk.
