We are seeking a Support Worker Team Leader

Giroscope provides safe, secure and affordable housing to those in housing need from Hull and beyond.

The Support Worker Team Leader will manage a small team of Support Workers, as well as working with a caseload of Giroscope tenants.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of our support team, managing all aspects of the operation from the administration to the HR. You will work closely with our housing team to provide help and support for Giroscope’s new and existing tenants to enable them to achieve positive outcomes.

As a Supported Housing provider we are regulated by Hull City Council’s Supported Accommodation Review Team – you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with this authority.

Key Duties

• Lead and manage a team of tenancy support workers – incorporating all aspects of people management – including supervision, absence, work planning and training.
• Deliver a tailored support programme to a small caseload of supported tenants identifying their goals and supporting them to make progress towards them.
• Monitor and check all paperwork to ensure support plans and risk assessments are completed regularly and to a high standard.
• To report any safeguarding issues, and support other staff with safeguarding concerns as required.
• ·Encourage engagement in other services and activities, including the Giroscope Volunteer Programme.
• Maintain accurate records including diary notes, risk assessments and support plans.

Conditions of Service

Salary – £30,000-£33,000 depending on experience

Contract type & length – This post is being offered on a permanent basis, following the successful completion of a 3 month probation period

Location – Based at our Coltman Street Office in west Hull

References – Appointment is subject to receipt of a minimum of two satisfactory references.  These should be from your current and previous employers.  Family members cannot be used as referees.

Criminal Record – An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check will be necessary for the successful applicant.
