Join Our Ambitious New Careers Team at LCCA!
The London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) is launching an innovative Careers & Employability department dedicated to enhancing student success, particularly for our diverse, mature, and widening-participation learners.
To support this vision, we are recruiting a Careers and Employability Consultant – Fashion to work across our portfolio of fashion courses.

- Student-Focused– Deliver dedicated 1-2-1 support, workshops, and industry projects from our new Careers Studio.
- Industry-Connected– Work closely with employers, alumni, and industry partners to bring real-world fashion experience into the student journey.
About the Role:
- Provide tailored careers guidance and employability support for fashion students.
- Support live briefs, projects, and employer-led initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Industry Engagement and Partnerships.
- Source internships and placements for fashion students, working closely with the Employer Engagement and Placements Manager.
- Embed employability into fashion programmes through workshops, coaching, and industry engagement.
Requirements
Experience
- A professional with experience in fashion education, teaching, careers, or recruitment.
- Someone who understands fashion career pathways and graduate opportunities.
- An adaptable, proactive, and student-focused individual with excellent communication skills.
- Passionate about helping students from diverse and widening participation backgrounds succeed in fashion.
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
- Detailed understanding of graduate labour markets relevant to your specialism
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Strong IT skills (MS Office, digital platforms, online databases)
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Adaptability, flexibility, and capacity to manage ambiguity
- Sensitivity to challenges faced by WP and mature learners
Desirable:
- Knowledge of virtual careers platforms (e.g., Abintegro)
- Understanding of higher education structures and culture
Competencies & Personal Attributes
- Highly organised, proactive, student-focused approach
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Comfortable working in an open-plan, student-facing environment
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Flexibility to occasionally support events outside normal working hours
Business Requirements
- Occasional need for evening or weekend work to support events or workshops
- Travel between local campuses or external partners as required

Qualifications/Education
Essential:
- Graduate or equivalent qualification
- Relevant professional qualification in Careers Guidance, Coaching, HR, or similar.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualification in career development, coaching, or teaching
- Degree aligned with your subject area (Creative Industries)
