About the Role
We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled, and proactive Senior Sleep Practitioner to play a key role in our SEND Sleep Service. You’ll empower families and professionals to understand and improve children’s sleep through workshops, one-to-one support, and community engagement.
You’ll be based at our Hull office, with opportunities to work from home and in community settings. We’re committed to supporting flexibility — we’ll work with you to structure your 21 hours per week in a way that works for you and the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sleep workshopsand personalised1:1 supportsessions for families.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners to promote and developthe sleep service.
- Provide short-term interventions via home visits, online sessions, and phone or email support.
- Facilitate training for professionalsacross a range of services, supporting inclusive practice.
- Build strong, respectful partnerships with parents, carers, and organisations in the statutory, voluntary, and community sectors.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all services are delivered in a way that is inclusive, equitable, and culturally sensitiveto the needs of diverse families.
- Contribute to the service’s online presence through information-sharing and community engagement.

What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting families of children and young people with additional needs/disabilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Confidence in delivering training and group facilitation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and Teams.
- A flexible, responsive, and person-centred approach.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Children and Families Act 2014).
Education/Qualifications:
- Educated to A-level / NVQ Level 3 orequivalent work / lived experience
- 2+ years experience in a related role.
Desirable:
- Lived experienceof SEND or family caregiving.
- Experience delivering adult training or education.
- Background in education or information advice and guidance.
