Job title: Student Support Officer - 18 hours

Salary: £34,982 to £40,855 per annum, equivalent to Grade 6 on the Jesus College scale. (Pro rata for part-time hours)

The post holder will act as the College’s designated Disability Coordinator, working closely with the Academic Registrar in her capacity at Disability Lead. They will act as first point of contact for offer-holders and on-course students who disclose a disability, liaising with the University’s Disability Advisory Service (DAS) and members of College staff, as appropriate, to put in place reasonable adjustments for study and domestic purposes. In addition, they will administer the College’s Access Bursaries scheme and assist students who are experiencing financial difficulties. The post holder will deal with a wide range of matters, often sensitive and confidential, and sometimes urgent. They will have to exercise judgement about the course of action required. The workload on the office can be demanding, requiring first class judgement, personal organisation and flexibility as well as an ability to work to deadlines.
