We are recruiting an Active Communities Manager to develop, implement and manage the Trust’s Active Communities Strategy and Exercise Referral programme.
Working collaboratively with statutory partners and voluntary and community sector organisations, the Active Communities Manager will lead the delivery of the Active Communities programme and Exercise Referral scheme, including the strategic development of inclusive sport, physical activity, and exercise referral pathways that support local residents to become and stay active.
You will lead engagement and negotiations with partner agencies for external funding bids, proactively identifying and pursuing all relevant funding opportunities, whether national, regional, or sector-specific, that will support the delivery of health and wellbeing objectives and provide tangible benefit to the Trust. This includes drafting and submitting applications, coordinating strategic partnerships, and aligning proposals with current programme priorities and long-term organisational goals.
The ideal candidate will have a management qualification, relevant to the role and at least 3 years’ experience of planning and delivering sports and community development activities within a multi-site business. You should also have experience with project management and negotiating, influencing and building constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
