UNISON Centre, London NW1
Full-time
23rd October 2025

About this job

You’ll be responsible for representing UNISON members involved in fitness to practise cases across a wide range of statutory and voluntary registration bodies. Enhancing the representation for UNISON professional members subject to fitness to practise and associated issues, you’ll work closely with national and regional staff, to identify ways to make UNISON’s services more efficient.

While developing our Union regional fitness to practise representation, you’ll also facilitate new services in partnership with our professional body partners. You will work well as part of a team but be required to carry your own case load.

It’s an exciting time with changes within registration bodies and the introduction of new fitness to practise processes and procedures. It’s a time to show your ability to prioritise and ensure daily progress, by setting targets and responding to professional cases. Socially strong, you’ll have excellent communication skills when providing advice to UNISON members, registration bodies and where
necessary government departments. Organised and IT literate, you’ll also have knowledge of the emerging professions and developing registration framework.

We are currently piloting an interim hybrid working policy across the organisation.
