Queens’ College is looking to recruit a full-time Food & Beverage Service Deputy Manager to assist the Food & Beverage Service Manager in the smooth running of the Front of House department.

The food and beverage service serves internal and external functions, including cafeteria lunches, fine dining, College feasts, buffet service, student café and bar. As Deputy the post holder will be expected to actively engage with our customers, exceeding their expectations and ensuring all aspects of service provided are delivered effectively.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A professional hospitality qualification (NVQ Level 3 desirable)
  • Previous management/team leader experience, preferably in a busy academic or hotel ‘Front of House’ environment
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service, and a problem-solving attitude with a flexible and ‘can-do’ approach
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced professional food service environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, and work independently as required
  • Effective communication skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Salary: £32,016.19 per annum
  • Hours of work: 37.5 per week, on a shift system, covering seven days, including evenings and weekends
  • Final Salary Pension Scheme after qualifying period
  • 26 days’ holiday, in addition to public holidays (34 in total)
