We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and highly organised Volunteer & Community Groups Worker who is dedicated to empowering local communities to support their own mental and physical health needs. You will work as part of the Healthy Minds Team at Cranmore & Raylands Community Centre, engaging and supporting local volunteers, helping to run existing groups and establish new ones. You will also provide training to enable groups to progress toward self-sufficiency.
In this key role, you will have the ability to work with a wide range of individuals and community groups with varying needs and levels of ability. You will have strong skills in communicating, supporting and assisting people to identify their training and development requirements. An empathetic attitude and a commitment to equality and inclusivity are essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting community groups to become independent, including helping them apply for and secure funding, elect committee members, open bank accounts and manage small grants. With a positive, can-do approach, you will be self-motivated, highly organised and able to manage tasks independently.
Training and mentoring will be provided to address any gaps in skills.
Hours: 10 per week (ideally Tuesdays and Wednesdays; final hours to be discussed at interview)Contract Type: Fixed-term for 1 yearBase: Cranmore & Raylands Community Centre, Leeds LS10Salary: £6,708 (based on FTE £23,478)Closing Date: Friday 12th December 2025 at 12 noonInterview Date: Early January 2026
