UNISON is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and resourceful individual to support the Greater London Region in the recruitment and retention of members, as well as identifying new workplace reps and promoting our campaigns.
The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in one-to-one communication, practical problem-solving, persuasion, perseverance, and self-motivation. While previous experience as a recruiter, organiser, or campaigner within a trade union or community organisation is desirable, transferrable skills are also highly valued. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of our union’s values and objectives.

The successful candidates will need to be good at prioritising multiple tasks and flexible in their approach. Reaching members in some public services can be challenging during “office hours” so the successful candidate may be required to work in the evening, early mornings and occasionally at weekends.
