Social Media Marketing Executive
(Required for as soon as possible)

Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm, 5 days per week (all year round)

St Edmund’s College and Prep are looking for a talented Social Media Marketing Executive to join our dynamic Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the online voice of one of the UK’s most historic and forward-thinking independent schools.


As Social Media Executive, you’ll take ownership of our social media presence — developing strategy, creating standout content, and driving engagement across all platforms. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver inspiring digital campaigns that reflect our values and showcase life at St Edmund’s College and Prep.

You will:
•    Develop and lead the organic social media strategy across all College and Prep accounts.
•    Launch and grow our TikTok presence with fresh, creative ideas.
•    Plan, create and schedule high-quality photo, video and graphic content that tells the story of our vibrant school community.
•    Track, analyse and report on performance using social media KPIs to demonstrate reach and impact.
•    Collaborate with colleagues, students and external partners to produce engaging, on-brand campaigns.
•    Use social listening and sector insights to stay ahead of trends and opportunities.
•    Support school events, open days, and wider marketing activities when needed.

We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive and digitally savvy, with a keen eye for design. You’ll bring strong social media experience (ideally within education, lifestyle or community sectors) and the ability to turn everyday moments into engaging, shareable content.


You will also be:
•    Confident using social media platforms, analytics tools and content creation software.
•    Organised, with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
•    A natural collaborator who enjoys working with students, staff and external partners.
•    Flexible and enthusiastic, with a willingness to attend occasional events during evenings and weekends.

Whilst not in a teaching role, as a Social Media Marketing Executive you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
