Role: Front of House Manager
Reporting to:  Director of Finance, Technology and Estates
Location: On-site, The Grange, Saunderton, HP27 9NS
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Core Purpose
To manage the Front of House function at The Grange main site, including Reception, Staff/Volunteers Barn restaurant, Stables Accommodation, The Grange Restaurant and any other customer-facing areas and activities at the site.   

Key Activities

  • Act as the main Client Manager for the restaurant at The Grange to ensure a strong collaborative working partnership ensuring the highest standard of service delivery, operation and best practice to maintain the charity’s reputation and monitor costs
  • Directly lead, motivate and support the Front of House team including reception staff to ensure smooth running of the front desk and delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Act as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Front of House, Restaurant and Gardening Volunteers and ensure Volunteers are supported and motivated in their role
  • Coordinate internal and external events on The Grange site and manage any catering requirements for events and hospitality. 
  • Manage the use of shared spaces on the Grange site and oversee any accommodation needs;  support events at the Grange, e.g. staff or volunteer events
  • Ensure provision of and instruct and oversee external contractors for the FOH function, including cleaning contracts and laundry services and ensure all contracts are kept up to date and provide value for money for the charity.
  • Manage FOH budget and ensure spending is in line with budget
