Service Manager - Accommodation and Support Services - Modern Day Slavery and Human Trafficking

£41,574.00 per annum
We are excited to be looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Service Manager to manage our Modern Day Slavery accommodation and support services within Birmingham.
You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking Victim Care Contract 2021, applicable in accommodation and support settings.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality services that are designed around people and their aspirations, wishes and needs.
Working in compliance with the Home Office guidelines and within SJOG ways of working and compliance / governance, you will be required to support the Deputy Head of Service, to ensure service meets contractual and regulatory requirements, encompassing the charity’s values and ethos.
Essential criteria:
- Level 5 or above Management qualification (or willingness to obtain this qualification.)
- 2/3 years’ experience at supervisory/managerial level within Health and Social Care sector.
- Experience of leading, developing and motivating teams
- Strong managerial and organisational skills
- Strong reporting and recording skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of budgets, financial policies, procedures and systems.
- Experience in working with external stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong IT skills and the ability to work with internal and external Data bases.
- Knowledge in Health and Safety and Quality Control
- Experience in undertaking internal and external audits relating to the governance of the services.
- Experience in undertaking Risk assessments and a person centered approach to care/journey planning.
Desirable criteria:
- Bi-lingual/ Multi-Lingual
- Knowledge of the Survivors Care Standards
- Working knowledge of the MSVCC. -
- Working knowledge of the immigration system and access to support services for vulnerable non UK nationals with limited access to funding (NRPFs, NASS / Refugee clients)
- Basic knowledge of the UK benefits system
