Make every day meaningful. Support independence. Change lives.

Looking for a truly rewarding role where you can make a real difference in someone’s life?
At St Elizabeth’s Supported Living in Bishop’s Stortford, we’re all about helping adults with learning disabilities and complex needs live life to the full — with dignity, confidence, and independence.

Our Windhill service is a small, friendly home in the heart of the community, where no two days are ever the same. From supporting people with daily routines and life skills to helping them enjoy leisure, social and day activities — every moment you share helps create brighter futures.

What the role involves

As a Care Support Worker, you’ll:

  • Support independent living through daily routines such as shopping, cooking, budgeting and accessing the community.
  • Assist with personal care and general domestic duties, always promoting dignity and choice.
  • Encourage participation in leisure and social activities — from local walks to day trips and events.
  • Build trusted, caring relationships that make people feel safe, valued and respected.
  • Work closely with colleagues and families to deliver truly person-centred support.

Experience in care is welcome but not essential — there’s no substitute for a kind heart, a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference. Full training and ongoing development are provided, including opportunities to achieve nationally recognised care qualifications.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Compassionate, reliable and motivated to support others.
  • A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
  • Able to stay calm under pressure and approach challenges with patience and positivity.
  • Committed to learning and developing in your role.
