Help shape people experience in a values-led charity
If bringing people, systems and data together to create a brilliant colleague experience makes you think “that’s exactly what I love doing”, this is the role for you.
We’re Affinity Trust, and we support people to live their lives their way. Where does this role come in? We can only do that with great colleagues who thrive at work.
A great colleague experience starts behind the scenes, where people, data and systems quietly click together. When they work smoothly, everything feels easier. This People Operations Manager role is about making that happen.
Be the engine room of our People function
You and your team will turn complex people processes into clear, smooth and user-friendly experiences for colleagues from their first day at Affinity Trust, to their last.
You will:
- Lead, coach and develop our HR Administration Team so they’re confident, skilled and proud of the service they deliver.
- Simplify and improve people processes end-to-end, making them more efficient, inclusive and easy to use.
- Own and optimise our HRIS, especially iTrent, understanding how workflows, functionality and user experience can be better.
- Join the dots across people systems, helping to shape our digital people strategy and how systems talk to each other.
- Be the go-to person for people data and reporting, from regulatory returns to dashboards and data stores that give real insight.
- Act as an intelligent customer with suppliers, managing relationships, holding them to account and working with Procurement and Change on contracts and developments.
- Regularly map and review processes so they stay compliant, efficient and genuinely helpful for colleagues.
- Play a key role in cross-organisational and cross-functional projects
- Support the Director of People by contributing to Exec and Board papers, representing the People Team and deputising when needed.
You don’t need to have worked in social care before, though it will help. What matters most is that you understand the sector and want to help improve it. You can find more detail about the role, and the skills and experience we’re looking for, in the job description attached to this advert
