We are looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead our Water Efficiency team on our Wessex Water programme supporting our mission to deliver water-saving initiatives for Groundwork South. As the Area Manager, you will oversee a team of advisors and plumbers, ensuring the successful implementation of water efficiency projects across all Wessex Water supplied areas.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong operational management skills, a passion for environmental sustainability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management – Oversee the delivery of water efficiency services, managing projects within budget, on time, and meeting agreed quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of plumbers and advisors to achieve key targets and milestones for the water saving campaign.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and delivery of services.
- Staff Development: Manage staff performance, offering training and personal development opportunities to help the team thrive.
- Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for your team.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in operational management, particularly in a similar role.
- Demonstrable track record in managing and delivering projects to agreed service levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and motivating teams to meet and exceed targets.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and commitment to safeguarding.
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
