Role summary
The  Post-Diagnosis  Support  Programme  Manager  is  a  key  role  at  ReMind  UK,  working  across  ReMind  UK's
departments  to  plan  and  co-ordinate  the  delivery  of  our  post-diagnosis  interventions.  The  role  works  in
partnership with local organisations and groups across Bath and North East Somerset, to drive an insight-driven,
fully evaluated programme of events and courses at the ReMind UK centre and in local venues.  Working closely
with ReMind UK's Head of Engagement, Project Co-Ordinator, Chief Executive Officer, and Volunteering and
Engagement  Coordinator,  the  post  holder  will  lead  on  the  annual  planning,  delivery  and  evaluation  of
interventions, project managing a small team of facilitators and volunteers and line managing the Project Co-
ordinator.

ReMind UK overview
ReMind UK is an independent charity and internationally renowned centre for research, diagnosis and treatment
of neurodegenerative diseases. Our research aims to improve life for people with dementia and their families
and carers, and to find drug and non-drug treatments for people with conditions such as Alzheimers disease and
other  diseases  predominantly  affecting  older  people.  Our  contracted  NHS  Memory  Clinic  service,  private
memory  assessments  and  allied  activities  also  provide  support  to  people  affected.  We  are  currently  in  an
ambitious phase of development looking to Increase our clinical and academic research programme. we work
closely with the Universities of Bath, Bristol and other research institutions, both nationally and internationally
and with the Royal United Hospital, Bath.

The role

Key responsibilities

•  Working with Head of Engagement and the wider Senior Leadership Team, research, plan and deliver
a rich and varied programme of interventions for people diagnosed with a dementia and carers.
•  Build on existing insight generation to ensure that the programme planning engages those with Iived

experience and continues to meet the needs of people affected by dementia.

•  Build  a  strong,  motivated  and  high  performing  programme  delivery  team  working  collaboratively

through regular communications and meetings.

•  Manage  day  to  day  relationships  with  programme  delivery  team  and  wider  team  at  ReMind  UK,
exploring ways to further connect and develop the post-diagnosis support function and join up with
other organisational workstreams wherever possible.

•  Define project tasks and delivery with clear links to funder evaluation metrics and reporting schedule
creating and maintaining a project plan for all areas of programme delivery, clearly establishing roles
and responsibilities, reporting dates and planning timeframes. Proactively communicate and manage
any concerns, challenges or setbacks to ensure delivery to plan and budget.

•  Work with the Volunteering and Engagement Officer to ensure that volunteers are engaged across the
post-diagnosis  support  programme  from  planning  through  to  evaluation,  and  that  the  ratio  of
beneficiary to volunteer during interventions is consistently monitored and actively reviewed to ensure
beneficiaries are able to fully engage in activities and peer support sessions.

•  Report  regularly  to  Head  of  Engagement  on  progress  against  targets,  risks,  issues  and  resource

management, providing funding reports and updates as required.

•  Manage quality assurance of ReMind UK's post-diagnosis support offer through working closely with
the programme delivery team and volunteers, using evaluation data and feedback to assess impact and
measure success against project and funder objectives.

•  Manage  existing  partner  and  community  group  relationships  and  continue  to  grow  ReMind  UK's
partnership  working  portfolio  where  collaborations  are  mutually  beneficial  through  attending  local
networking events where useful and staying up to date on community collaborations.

•  Keep an accurate record of resources expended, forecast expenditure and support reconciliation of

budgets as required.

completed and signed off in good time before interventions are delivered.
Line manage Project Co-ordinator and project manage wider support from staff, freelancers, partners
and volunteers.
Identify  relevant  local,  and  where  possible  national,  funding  sources  and  working  with  Head  of
Engagement  create  proposals  to  support  fundraising  for  ReMind  UK's  post-diagnosis  support
programme.
Ensure that marketing collateral is collected and centralised and work with Marketing and Content
Officers to ensure that images, case studies, testimonials and moving image clips are produced and
used to drive expressions of interest and expand reach in participation and partnerships.

Person specification
Essential
Proven experience of project management in a customer-facing environment.
Ability to demonstrate multiple stakeholder management and strong relationship building skills.
Knowledge of project management methodology, techniques and resources.
Excellent administration and organisation skills
Good team-player with friendly can-do attitude
Ability to plan and manage own time and workload and work to deadlines.
Polite and professional manner and ability and empathy to deal with people who may be confused or have
difficulty communicating
Good time management skills, self-directed and proactive
Excellent communication and language skills and the ability to promote a cause/product.
Data literate - ability to use MS 365 and CRM systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure, retain attention to detail.
Current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Desirable
Experience of working face-to-face with clients, service users or members of the public
Experience of the charity-sector
Experience of healthcare provision in England.
