Business Support Officer
£29,000–£31,000 (depending on skills and experience)
Full time, office-based (NW11)
The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust is a small charity that protects, maintains and enhances one of London’s most distinctive neighbourhoods — a unique early 20th-century community of homes, gardens and green spaces.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join our friendly team. This varied role combines front-line contact with residents, support for trustee meetings, and accurate management of office and financial records.
You will be the first point of contact for residents and stakeholders, prepare papers and minutes for trustee and committee meetings, help keep our databases and financial records up to date, and support our communications and social media activity.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both people-facing and detailed administrative work, values accuracy, and is keen to develop skills in governance, finance, communications and heritage.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is organised, accurate and comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
- Has clear written and spoken communication skills (minute-taking experience an advantage)
- Is confident with IT, including Microsoft 365 (social media skills welcome)
- Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team
In return we offer:
- Salary £29,000–£31,000, depending on skills and experience
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
- Contributory pension scheme
- A varied and rewarding role at the heart of a small organisation with a unique purpose
