Job description
• Develop the existing and/or maintain an ongoing, learn to swim' and 'improvers' swimming program to service the needs of the community. The program will include progressive swimming distance and water skills certificates approved by Company Representatives. • Teach swimming to infant children through to adults in the area and other facilities within the Eastern Province as and when directed by Company Representative • Support recreation in developing and organizing safety water campaigns and swim challenges throughout the year. • Train Pool/Beach Lifeguards working in all Community areas in Pool/beach lifeguard training modules. • Must be able to initiate and maintain on-going training schedules to pool/beach lifeguard training modules. The training must be to a high standard and prepare the pool/beach lifeguards for a 6-monthly pool/beach lifeguard trade test or when required. • Assist in the coaching of swim teams, when required • Be responsible for the day to day operation of the aquatic facilities including all cleaning schedules, supervision of duty staff and water purity checks where required as per the Companies Water Sanitation Code. • Monitor the PPE equipment required for all duty personal to ensure a safe working environment. • Report to the Company Representative any damage or misuse of the Company facilities
Qualifications required
STA or RLSS Lifeguard Tutors and have a swimming teaching qualification
