The BFI is looking for a Project Manager for their FAME project (Framework, Analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation), which has been designed to assess the BFI’s progress against its 10-year strategy, Screen Culture 2033, and to inform the direction of the final five years of the strategy delivery period.

The FAME Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the programme. Working alongside and supporting the Senior Evaluation Manager the postholder will provide project management across all aspects of the project, and ensure effective coordination and strategic alignment across multiple concurrent programmes of work that contribute to the FAME project; managing internal stakeholder engagement at a range of levels, support the delivery of workshops, round tables and consultations, and ensure smooth operational delivery of all programme activities and reporting as required by BFI Governance processes.

Role responsibilities
  • To be responsible for day-to-day management of FAME and related project deliverables (such as the Audience & Public Programming Strategy and the Education & Learning review) ensuring strong project management and communication with all key stakeholders
  • Assist the Senior Evaluation Manager in their daily duties by providing effective support management and assisting with designing and planning upcoming evaluations and organising of activities and suppliers as required
  • To be an advocate and champion for the overall objectives of the project, promoting the importance of Evaluation internally and offering advice and support to internal teams who may not themselves be familiar with the role of evaluation to inform internal learning and the benefits to improving business planning through insights
  • To be responsible for day-to-day management and ongoing communications with the Senior supplier, with support from the Senior Evaluation Manager as required
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting project management from inception through to delivery
Person specifications
  • Experience in research and evaluation role and/or programme management, ideally within a strategic, research, or evaluation context, or equivalent.
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating the impact of cross-cutting projects or other initiatives and collecting and collating key content (incl. qualitative and quantitative data) for senior internal briefings and reports
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting project management from inception through to delivery
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines and targets whilst working in a busy environment with the ability to identify and troubleshoot underperformance/manage risk
