Caister Academy is an 11-16 co-educational day school, specialising in Literature and the performing arts. We offer a rigorous, traditional curriculum; supplemented by a broad choice from the arts, technology, and sport; all personalised to the strengths of individual students.
With sea views, Caister Academy is just 20 miles east of the vibrant city of Norwich. Our people are our greatest asset and Caister Academy currently employs over 80 staff and is major employer within the community. Caister Academy joined Creative Education Trust (CET) in March 2015 which itself was established in 2010 to work in England’s post-industrial and coastal towns and cities. They now have a network of 17 schools educating 14,500 children and young people. Working for CET offers an abundance of opportunities through a wide range of co-curricular activities and Knowledge Connected programme.
Caister Academy's 2024 Ofsted report praises the school ‘Good’ in all categories, notably capturing that “Pupils know how to behave, and they do so well”. The report also states that the “Classrooms are quiet spaces which are highly conducive to learning”.
Students at Caister Academy make progress in line with the best 25% of schools in the country with the class of 2024 reaching a progress score of +0.30. Caister Academy is now one of the top 10 schools in Norfolk
