We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic adaptable and motivated Band 6 Junior Sister /Charge Nurse for our Emergency Department/Same Day Emergency Care
The role of the junior sister / charge nurse is to provide clinical leadership to the nursing and multi-disciplinary team on a day to day basis plus to be able to demonstrate a comprehensive clinical background in Emergency care. You will be required to support the departmental nursing / medical managers and to be fully engaged with the other departments on the acute floor in this fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a motivated team delivering high standards of care within the emergency care setting. We are also committed to teaching and supporting staff and are looking for these qualities in a new team member.

Main duties of the job
Leading and co-ordinating shifts
Supporting ward manager with safe and efficient running of departments
Clinical supervision of junior staff
Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
Compliance with national standards of Care Quality Indicators
Maintaining own high standards of knowledge and care delivery with mandatory training and further education
Ensure safety and cleanliness of environment

- Previous experience within relevant clinical area
- Proven experience and achievements at Band 5 or equivalent
- Experience of teaching within clinical areas
