Programme Officer (Grants)

Location: GW London Offices and project sites

Contract: One year fixed term contract, with a view to extend

Salary:      Circa £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours:     37.5-22.5 hours per week

Groundwork London is responsible for managing a number of pan-London grant schemes with environmental and social regeneration themes, including Walking & Cycling Grants London funded by Transport for London and the London Marathon Foundation, and Shared Endeavour Fund funded by MOPAC.

Groundwork London are working with the NHS South East London Integrated Care Board to manage the NHS Greenwich Charitable Funds through the Greenwich Healthier Communities Fund, which aims to tackle health inequalities in the London borough of Greenwich. Groundwork London are seeking a Programme Officer to coordinate and deliver this programme alongside support on the wider Groundwork London grants programme portfolio.

The role will focus on communicating effectively with applicants, grant recipients, the funder and other stakeholders in. The post holder will lead on community consultation, responding to grant application queries, application processing, project monitoring and creating reports within contractually agreed timeframes. The Officer will be the key contact for the NHS Greenwich Charitable Funds and provide training to both prospective grant applicants and funded groups.

The post holder will have proven experience of the health sector and/or communities in Greenwich. Awareness of current key health and wellbeing issues, contextual factors that can lead to poor health and wellbeing, and how to reduce current inequality in health outcomes is desired for the role. Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, organisation and time-management skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office will be essential in the role. Previous experience in grants administration/management is desired.
