Mahdlo Youth Zone is a state-of-the-art multi-million Pound location providing young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, engaging and exciting opportunities to try something new, seven days a week.
We’ve got incredible facilities including a 3G Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch climbing wall, boxing gym, three court sports hall, sensory room, fully equipped gym including weightlifting equipment, recreation area and dance, arts, music and media suites and much more.
With more than 100 full-time, part-time and volunteer staff we have a fundraising target of £1.6 million this year, raised through our Patron’s Programme, community fundraising, and events.
The role
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and organised Visual Arts Coordinator to join our team on an 18 month fixed term contract to lead and develop our visual arts programme.
As Visual Arts Coordinator, you will coordinate our visual arts offer across the 7-day programme, ensuring activities are creative, inclusive, and inspiring. You will deliver two weekly visual arts sessions, manage the arts budget, and support exciting projects such as exhibitions, showcases, and collaborative community work.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to use their creativity to inspire young people, nurture their skills, and help them express themselves through the arts.
