Casual Youth Workers

Bradford District Youth Services are looking to recruit a number of skilled professionals to join them in the highly respected Breaking the Cycle Project. 

Salary:

Grade JNC SCP 5 - 7 (unqualified) £13.29 - £13.63 per hour

Grade JNC 7 – 10 (qualified Level 2) £13.63 - £14.82 per hour

Grade JNC 12-15 (qualified Level 3), £15.98 - £17.60 per hour

Casual hours, Based at Highcroft Youth Centre, Shipley and working across the Bradford District

Shifts: Various hours available starting from as little as 3 – 4 hours

About the Role

District Youth Services is seeking energetic and dedicated Youth Work practitioners to support young people across Bradford District, specifically those vulnerable to and experiencing criminal exploitation.

  • We are looking for resilient self-starters who are creative, proactive and able to work as part of a team around the child, working at times as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team across a range of services, including
  • Education
  • Youth Justice Service
  • West Yorkshire Police
  • Children’s Social Care
  • Healthcare practitioners
  • Other partners within the Exploitation Hub, Community Safety, and Bradford Safeguarding Partnership.

We are aiming to recruit a range of skilled youth work practitioners who can be strong advocates for the voice of children and young people and who are able to work flexibly in response to the individual needs.

Working hours will be varied and at times this work will take place at unsociable hours including evenings, overnights and weekends.
