The role
The role involves working within the Bereavement Services Team supporting Nottinghamshire residents who are over the age of 18 who have been affected by a palliative diagnosis or affected by an expected death. You will carry a caseload offering 1:1 bereavement and end of life counselling to clients with the most complex and urgent needs, as well as develop and facilitate bereavement support groups around Nottinghamshire. Participate in the promotion and development of the service.The ideal candidate will be a qualified Counsellor who has achieved a level 4 or higher qualification in a counselling modality, additionally with experience ideally gained within a palliative care or bereavement environment. You will work with current legislation and professional codes of practice and conduct (i.e. BACP/UKCP). You must have proven communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative and to work autonomously.
