Finance Officer (Accounts Payable)

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Finance Assistant to join our accounts payable team. This position is part time (3 days per week) and involves working in a high volume and manual environment.
Salary
The salary for this position is £32,413 pro-rato (Part-time 3 days a week)
In line with our EDI strategy and Total Reward policy, we calculate our salaries based on benchmarking data across the charity sector. To ensure fairness for existing staff and new joiners, we do not offer salaries above the advertised rate.
Please note that this position is part time and the salary advertised is the full time equivalent.
Key Responsibilities
- The Finance Officer will support the Accounts payable team.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and staff expenses.
- Processing Bacs and urgent payment runs.
- The role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting effective cash flow management.
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and financial regulations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Prior experience working within a high volume, manual accounts payable function.
- Ability to work effectively at a fast pace, dealing with high volume, and consistently delivering to deadlines.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and organise workload, with a flexible approach.
- Strong communication skills.
