About Ufton At Ufton, we know learning outside the classroom gives children the freedom to flourish. We run experiential programmes that deep children’s knowledge and connection to nature, history and the self. Our team of skilled educators know how to make learning fun and bring out the best in all children, whatever their needs and whoever they are. We give children a safe space to learn about themselves and see everything in a new light, helping them grow up more confident, curious and capable. As a gardening volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to: • Work alongside a friendly and dedicated team of volunteers and staff members. • Learn and share gardening skills and techniques. • Help create a beautiful and welcoming environment for children. • Enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. We are looking for someone who: • Has a passion for gardening and a willingness to learn. • Has a few hours or a day a week to give and can travel to Ufton. • • Is reliable and has a sense of humour. Is physically able to perform gardening tasks such as weeding, pruning, and planting. Is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. • • Enjoys eating cake and homemade soup! • We generally host volunteers on a Tuesday or Thursday.
