Trainee Pastor

Calvary Christian Fellowship

We are looking for a man who:

  • Has a love for God's Word
  • Is passionate about reaching those outside of the Church
  • Is seeking the Lord's will to train as a Pastor
  • The successful applicant will train and work alongside our current Pastor and Eldership team to help shepherd the Church and reach the community.

Required Skills

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Preaching and teaching under the direction of our Pastor
  • Pastorally care for, and support individuals within the church and community
  • Disciple believers and establish and support discipleship relationships
  • Serve within, and support, a variety of ministries in the life of the church. This may include children's and youth activities
  • Studying of God's Word, which could include a formal training course
  • Help in the administration and practical matters

Desired experience/Qualification:

  • Experience working/serving within a ministry context
  • Driving licence
  • Christian ministry qualification

Character:

  • A man who is in good standing in His current Church
  • Someone who is both humble and teachable
  • We would expect to see evidence of the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23)
