We’re currently seeking a Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Exeter. You’ll play a vital role in supporting both adults and families impacted by substance use—helping them to access the care, information, and tools they need to live healthier, more empowered lives.As a Family Worker, you will be responsible for:

Work directly with service users and their families both on-site and in the community.

Provide practical advice, emotional support, and tailored care planning.

Carry out initial triage, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing case management.

Collaborate closely with partner agencies including schools, Children’s Services, and treatment teams.

Promote health, wellbeing, and safeguarding for children and families.

Champion recovery and help reduce the impact of substance use on family life.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, motivated, and flexible in approach.

Experienced in working with vulnerable individuals and families (professional or lived experience welcome).

Skilled in building relationships, managing caseloads, and supporting multi-agency working.

Knowledgeable in safeguarding, care planning, and case recording systems.

Committed to promoting positive change and long-term recovery in communities.

Aquarius is a subsidiary of Waythrough. Aquarius is a Midlands-based charity supporting individuals to overcome the harms caused by drugs, alcohol and gambling. Aquarius has always held the view that people we support could resolve their problems with support and guidance and that people have the ability to find their own solutions to their problems. Our roles across the organisation include Practitioners and Administrators as well as Team Managers.
