  The

  St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP)is looking for aCasual Activities Assistantto support the delivery of a wide range of community-focused activities at our centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a warm, welcoming team that’s committed to turning concern into action.What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting the Activities Coordinator in planning and delivering workshops, classes, and group activities.
  • Helping to ensure all activities are well-organised, safe, and meet the needs of the local community.
  • Welcoming visitors and signposting them to appropriate support.
  • Promoting the centre and its services locally and nationally.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health and safety and safeguarding policies.
  • Attending networking events and training to enhance the centre’s outreach.
  What We’re Looking For:Essential:
  • Experience developing and coordinating activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with great organisational abilities.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  Desirable:
  • GCSEs (A*-C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience working or volunteering in the charity or voluntary sector.
  • Experience working with vulnerable people or in a learning/training environment.
  • Ability to develop creative sports or recreational activities.
