Position Description
The purpose of the data management Officer position is to Compile, analyze data and prepare reports. Facilitate exchange of information among project stakeholders. Coordinate with other staff to optimize the quality and efficiency of monitoring system.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Support for the project data management provision and reporting for best efficiency and effectiveness.
- Working closely with the Data Management department and M&E team for setting up the data management and reporting system for both project level and field level.
- Prepare accurate qualitative and quantitative reports on time and as required.
- Ensure that the data management provides accurate and quality information for all activities
- Outreach and contact the beneficiaries when necessary.
- Ensure the standard documentation of project, through uploading all beneficiaries related documents on NEF Siraj LMS\M&E database.
- Set up and manage loan applications in the Siraj Lending Management System.
- Oversee all loan disbursement and documentation processes, including verifying beneficiaries’ IDs and other required documents.
- Ensure accurate data validation and verification during loan disbursement or any other financial service transactions.Receive and record all loan repayments, ensuring daily updates in the system with complete accuracy.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or their designate.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful Data Management Officer must be a self-directed individual with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data management in data management, financial services, or loan administration—preferably within humanitarian or development programs. Strong knowledge of database systems and digital management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to validate, verify, and manage large data sets with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other data processing software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy, competency in database programs (Excel and Access).
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work effectively across a wide variety of cultural contexts;
