CONTRACT TYPE: 37.5 hours per week

SALARY: Up to £45,000 per annum

Please note, this role involves weekend work and requires flexible working hours in line with the team training schedule.

Bristol City Women FC has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, passionate and committed individual to join the club as Goalkeeping Coach.

The successful candidate will work closely with all coaches, performance team and analysts and will enjoy working as part of a team. They must be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to be flexible to the requirements of the position.

Key responsibilities:

  • To coach, monitor and report on the progress of all goalkeepers within the team
  • Work with the coaching team to plan and deliver goalkeeping sessions
  • Prepare and lead on set plays for the team, including opposition analysis of set plays
  • To ensure that all playing, training and relevant information on all goalkeepers is recorded and is kept up-to-date at all times throughout the season
  • Oversee the Goalkeeping coaching philosophy and ensure this is communicated and implemented down through the Pathway age groups
  • Ensuring effective communication between all departments, including medical and performance staff, is continuous throughout the season
  • To adhere to the FA Safeguarding and equality policies and procedures
  • To adhere to the FA and Bristol City WFC Code of Conduct
  • Support in recruitment of the playing team, with a focus on goalkeepers

The club would welcome applications from individuals who have the following qualifications and experiences:

Essential

  • Minimum of FA Goalkeeping B Licence
  • Experience working a sporting specific environment
  • Experience of elite-level female football
  • Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating elite-level training sessions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of a WSL or Championship football team
  • First Aid qualification/BFAS
  • Enhanced DBS Check (we will require all employees to go through a DBS check once an offer of employment has been made)
