Part-Time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 68-year-old lady living in Dinas Powys. I live with my cat Charlie who is a bit of a rebel, and I have very supportive friends who live locally. I enjoy knitting, sewing, and crafting. I love watching architect and site dig programmes. I love to visit museums, go to the seaside and go shopping. I always use a three-wheel walker as my mobility is not great. Sometimes my mood dips and I feel quite low, so I have additional support with this. I would like some support to take me out and about, as well as escort me to Church on Sunday.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support in the home and out in the community.

RATE(S) OF PAY

 

£14.70 per hour

HOURS OF WORK

Sunday Mornings 10-1

7 hours to be worked flexible in the week.

 

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

  • Food shopping fortnightly.
  • Company and a cuppa.
  • Going for a coffee in Cardiff city centre.
  • Visiting St Fagans.
  • Support to attend church on a Sunday optional if you want to come in or wait for me.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • A Chatty and friendly person.
  • Someone who is understanding when my moods are low.
  • A car driver required with business class insurance.
  • Someone who is reliable and consistent.

ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
