Broadening Choices for Older People (BCOP) is a Birmingham-based charity with over 75 years’ experience supporting older people to live the best version of their later life. We provide high-quality nursing and residential care across our three nursing homes, along with supported and independent living schemes.

We’re proud of our reputation for warmth, compassion and professionalism. Our dedicated teams put people at the heart of everything we do, creating homely, person-centred environments where every individual feels valued.

As Care Manager at Anita Stone Court, you’ll play a key leadership role within the home – ensuring that residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care every day.

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll oversee clinical governance, manage and support nursing and care staff, and ensure our services meet CQC and local authority standards. You’ll lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver care that reflects our charity’s values, and deputise for the General Manager when required.

From maintaining robust care plans to promoting resident involvement and leading on audits, you’ll ensure that every element of care delivery supports wellbeing, dignity, and respect.

You’ll be a registered nurse (RN, RMN or RNLD) with a live NMC registration and experience in a senior clinical or deputy leadership role within an elderly care setting. You’ll have a strong understanding of person-centred care, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance, with the confidence to manage teams and mentor others.

A natural leader, you’ll bring a positive, proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older people. You’ll be organised, professional, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape and sustain the compassionate, homely culture that BCOP is known for.

Above all, you’ll share BCOP’s values — putting people first, collaborating with others, paying attention to detail, and adapting to meet the needs of those we support.

As well as a competitive salary, other benefits of working for BCOP include:

  • Free on-site car parking and good public transport links
  • 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing to 29 days after 5 years’ service)
  • Free health insurance
  • Workplace pension
  • Ongoing professional development and CPD opportunities
  • Supportive, values-based working environment

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply using the application form below, attaching your CV and a covering letter (no more than two pages) explaining how you meet the criteria and providing examples of your skills, knowledge, and experience.

No agencies please.

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to an initial screening interview and if successful, will be invited to a panel interview.
