ADVERTISEMENT Chair of Trustees (voluntary) Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire Unremunerated National Botanic Garden of Wales We are delighted to invite enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to apply for the Chair of the Board of Trustees at an exciting stage of the organisation’s development, including its 25th anniversary. We are seeking to appoint a Chair following the retirement of the current Chair later in 2025. Join the National Botanic Garden of Wales, a dynamic and impactful organisation committed to evidence-based science, sharing our knowledge of plants and inspiring people’s appreciation of flora, Welsh culture and heritage. As the Chair of Trustees, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organisation, leading its growth and shaping its direction to be a trail blazer benefiting society through its inspiring estate, science discoveries and the ways it influences people to value plants and nature and enrich their lives. We are seeking a Chair candidate with established strong leadership skills, excellent communication and a deep understanding of governance principles. The current voluntary Board includes Trustees with a range of diverse professional skills, perspectives and personal lived experiences. We strive to make sure that the charity’s values are reflected in all our work with a healthy organisational culture underpinning all our activities. Applications would be valued from people with a disability and other people who can bring a richer diversity of lived experience to the board.
